Starting Point:
Convict Lake (7,600') Campground off Hwy 395, south of Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort.

The Tour:
From the shores of Convict Lake, beneath the impressive and looming face of Mt. Morrison, the route crosses some ridges and gulleys to a prominent drainage east of Little Morrison. This provides access to Oldman's Bowl and a great ascent to the col between Little Morrison (11,108') and the east ridge of Mt. Morrison.

After a tricky section off the col and a ramp angeling across a steeper zone, we drop into the beautiful hanging valley directly beneath the north face of Mt. Morrison. This spectacular run connects beautiful bowls and steep faces back down to Convict Lake.
