Mt. Shasta, Hotlum Glacier Icefall Tour     2 Day

This glacier tour visits the Hotlum Glacier on the northside of the mountain. From the Brewer Creek trailhead (7,250'), a few hours hike takes us to a highcamp at about 10,600'. In liew of a summit climb, we'll spend the better part of the next day on a very interesting tour through the beautiful ice formations of the Hotlum Icefall.

This is great opportunity to climb with ice axe, crampons, harness and rope practicing specific glacier travel and ice climbing skills en route up and down the serac formations and between the crevasses.

This is a truly high quality experience combined with a big list of skills to leave in your bag of tricks for future climbs. Previous experience with ice axe and crampons is required.
